Thinking about hiring your first employee? This session will walk you through everything you need to know to hire with confidence. We’ll cover the fundamentals - from understanding your obligations as an employer to setting up payroll, onboarding, health & safety, and more. 

FOR BUSINESSES WITH EMPLOYEES: 12:00pm– 2:00pm
As your team expands, so do your responsibilities. This session focuses on compliance and best practices, including Employment Standards Act (ESA) requirements, workplace policies, employee handbooks, job posting requirements, accommodation obligations, documentation, and strategies for retaining employees. We’ll also review how to stay up-to-date and protect your business while creating a strong workplace culture.
